International events working group
Dear members of the K.N.P.S.V.,
As a member of the K.N.P.S.V., you have many opportunities to study abroad during your studies. As a member of the K.N.P.S.V., you are automatically also a member of the European Pharmaceutical Students' Association (EPSA) and the International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation (IPSF). These umbrella organisations offer opportunities for internships and exchanges, but also organise various conferences each year.
As the International Events Working Group, we are investigating the possibility of bringing an international pharmaceutical conference of EPSA or IPSF to the Netherlands. We are in contact with various hotels, universities and potential sponsors. Hopefully, based on our research, a Reception Committee will be set up to organise the conference.
Our sunny inter-city working group has seven members. First up is Age Zeinstra, our secretary. His favourite country is Spain. After all, they have a fantastic lifestyle there and do everything at their own pace, but they also have an interesting culture and much nicer weather than we do.
The first treasurer is Surina Chuckaree. She prefers to be found in the Philippines, enjoying the beautiful nature (sunbathing on the beach) and the even more beautiful drink prices. Our second treasurer is Isis Borst. True to her name, she feels completely at home in divine Egypt.
The supervisory role in our working group is filled by the supervisory role in the 123rd board of the K.N.P.S.V. as board representatives, Marlon Geraerts and Brian Schilder. Like the rest of our sun-loving working group, Marlon also enjoys summer weather, preferably in Greece. They also have delicious (inexpensive) pitas with gyros there. Brian enjoys visiting Slovenia, with its beautiful nature.
Last but not least, I am Jonno Rolfes, chair of the IEW. My favourite country is Namibia, with its many otherworldly landscapes. I am also certainly not averse to a bite of wildebeest or kudu steak.
We are all working hard on our research, and we hope to see you at the next international conference in the Netherlands!
Kind regards,
Jonno Rolfes
