The K.N.P.S.V. is involved in various aspects of the study.
- Master's students in Pharmacy can receive a scholarship from the Stipendiafonds for an internship abroad. The commissioner of general affairs is part of the Curatorium as a representative of the students.
- Via the Student Exchange Programme you as a student can do an internship abroad and foreign students can do an internship in the Netherlands.
- The K.N.P.S.V. also organises several educational eductivities during the year.
- Lastly, the K.N.P.S.V. represents Dutch students at the national level, including areas such as education, the future vision of healthcare, and more.
Professional associations
The K.N.P.S.V. maintains close ties with several professional associations in the field of pharmacy:
- Koninklijke Nederlandse Maatschappij ter Bevordering van de Pharmacie (Royal Dutch Pharmacists Association, KNMP)
- Vereniging van Jonge Apothekers (Association of Young Pharmacists, VJA)
- Vereniging van Nederlandse Industrie-Apothekers (Association of Dutch Industrial Pharmacists, NIA)
- Nederlandse Vereniging van Ziekenhuisapothekers (Dutch Association of Hospital Pharmacists, (Jong) NVZA)
- Federatie Innovatie Geneesmiddel Onderzoek Nederland (Federation for Innovative Drug Research Netherlands, FIGON)
- Nederlandse Vereniging voor Klinische Farmacologie en Biofarmacie (Dutch Association for Clinical Pharmacology and Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences, NVKFB)
These professional associations play an important role in connecting students with professional practice. They are committed to advancing the field of pharmacy in its broadest sense and offer students the opportunity to explore its many career paths. Through lectures, internships, symposia, and other activities, they help students gain early insights into their future profession. In this way, the professional associations and the K.N.P.S.V. together form a bridge between study and career.
